Stone Soup PDX provides thousands of meals each week to local day centers, shelters, and schools and our volunteer drivers are integral to making sure these meals get to those who are in need of nourishing meals! Volunteers will pick up meals at Stone Soup PDX on SE Powell and drop them off at one of our contract meal sites, located in NW and NE Portland. This frees up our staff’s time to make even more meals for more people experiencing housing and food insecurity!
Requirements:
-Own vehicle required.
-Valid drivers license and current vehicle registration/insurance required.
-Some lifting of boxes up to 25lbs required.
-Stone Soup PDX does not reimburse for transportation costs (gas, etc.).
-Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older to participate in this opportunity.
